The Leica Geosystems 3D Scanning Software group in San Ramon, CA is looking for a senior level software interaction designer. As a user interface designer will be responsible for leading and actively participating in the planning, design, documentation, implementation and usability testing of the software. In addition, the user interaction designer will champion the end-user and promote user-centered design methodologies.
The successful candidate must have familiarity with concept development, design and process methodology, scenario planning, user interface modeling and usability testing. The candidate must have experience in developing and documenting use cases, task flows and interaction design, as well in software related to visualization and manipulation of 3D objects. It would be beneficial to have experience in the development of commercial products that are deployed globally across many cultures. It would also be beneficial to have experience in prototyping and implementing user interface frameworks.
The candidate must have sustained attention to detail from concept to implementation, and be experienced in working as part of an implementation team with product managers, software engineers and QA engineers.
